We are a community dedicated to protecting the Keweenaw Ridge.

What is the Keweenaw Ridge?

The Keweenaw Ridge consists of the spine of mountains that rise out of Lake Superior near Ontonagon in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, continue along the Keweenaw Peninsula, and terminate at Copper Harbor at the north end of US41. Adams and Stanton townships are home to many residents and businesses along the Keweenaw Ridge.

Listen to our in-depth interviews on Copper Country Today and Presentation to the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition (UPEC) (“Wind Power: Is it the Answer”)

The Guardians of the Keweenaw Ridge are interviewed by TV6 in Marquette on January 19, 2022. They present the facts surrounding the many false promises made by the outside wind developer on a new proposal to place twelve 575-foot industrial wind turbines in Adams Township. Issues discussed are false promises of local tax revenues, lower electrical rates, jobs, and impacts on local wildlife. https://www.facebook.com/uppermichiganssource/videos/683423125990580/

Save the Huron Mountains

This fight has been fought before. The Huron Mountains in Upper Michigan faced a similar challenge in rejecting wind turbines.
